Betta sleeping?

What does it look like when bettas sleep? I just went to check on my betta (I don't usually check at this time and the lights are off during the day) and he was just sitting in a corner, with his mouth slightly below the top of the water.

He wasn't moving at all, even his usually fast moving pectoral fins. I was afraid he was dead so I turned the light off, and he quickly swam to a different spot and stayed there. He seemed to have a slightly cloudy look to his eyes almost as if he was sleepy. If it didn't scare me so much it would have been kinda cute.

I was just wondering if he was just sleeping and I shouldn't be worried, or if this could possible be something a bit more serious.

Lucifer 2 was floating on his side and zoomed away when I poked him

I have a Lucifer, cept he's a guppy :). He doesn't seem to be acting sick or anything. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I couldn't see.

I think he was sleeping, just keep an eye on him if you are worried. :)

Haha yeah. I am obsessed with the show Supernatural and he's one of my favorite characters. He got me started on naming all my fish after angels :)

I named Lucifer after Lucifer from SPN and I have one named Balthazar from SPN. Now looking for a Dean, Sam, Bobby, and Castiel. xD

haha yup. Cas was my first, but I kind of ran out of angel names (from SPN) that I really liked so I just used angel names. I have two gold fish named Sam and Dean. No Bobby yet. Might have to name my Pleco that (my brothers refuse to allow me to name my guppies anything other than angel names now. :P )
