Gosh you guys are lucky, it was stupid... It then went on to another thread that was closed... Gosh, this forum has started to really cone down. I really hope they start doing something because I think it is getting ridiculous, I wouldn't doubt if others did either.

We try to keep arguements to a minimum but it's hard because they blow up pretty quickly.

maybe get a serious discussion subforum made for people who want to talk about things like politics, but make sure that it stays civil, and make it clear that anything that is argumentative wont be tolerated. atleast thyen topics of a political or other "serious" matter will have a place a little ways away from the day to day general chit chat of the forum

Nothing stays civil when it comes to most lifestyles. People get offended and retaliate. There is no way it will stay civil for long. Someone will find a way to get butt hurt XD.

I suppose so...I have seen it work elsewhere. I steer clear of it for the most part. Sometimes the internet sucks for how upset people get...not being able to tell tone in the way folks type...Personally it's about impossible to offend me, especially via the web. I supose that it is also tough to keep a thread like that civil on a foprum of this size as opposed to one with a small number of regulars who know each other like family.
