Hey everybody!
Most of you have probably heard already, but in my 10 gal. cycled tank with my VT Honeycomb i am just getting tired of my "rainbow" gravel.
I have a HOB and a submersible heater.
In the HOB i have a regular catridge with carbon, and i recently had to change it because it was FALLING apart, but i did be sure to stuff some of the old media in the new one. I also took this thing called a bio-scrubber from my other new filter so there will be more surface area.
i have 3 Marimo Moss Balls.
The only inhabitant is Honeycomb.
I have heard Pool Filter sand is the perfect grain size so it will not cloud easily and will not develop as much air pockets. Opinions?
How often should i churn the sand?
Also, i have Honeycomb's cup to put him into, as my 3 gal. is occupied with Casper.
OPINIONS?THOUGHTS?CONCERNS?
Thanks everybody! I really look forward to getting a more natural looking tank!
