ohhh dear...

I have to do all the tanks today before the hurricane hits (classes are cancelled), but alas, I can't see myself doing it.

Last year i severely sprained my ankle, and after getting x rays done, they said it was fine. However, I still feel lots of pain from it, and I don't know why. Siinc e Friday, I've been walking a LOT (college parties, woot!), and well... I can barely walk right now :/

The ammonia is what I'm afraid of, but seeing as how everything is okay, I might do small changes for now.

If you are expecting a power outage then you'd best do those water changes now.

I do believe power will be out. It was extremely windy today, and we still have an hour before she officially hits.

The pain is 100% percent from everything this weekend. I'm not even joking, I walked to the point where I was about to collpase yesterday alone.

Wendy, it's easy to say that, but I currenty have a 5 gallon, a 3 gallon, and a 1.5 gallon that I need to lug back and forth :/

I feel for your ankle pain and wish you the best of luck with the storm. I fell down a flight of stairs about three years ago and still get pretty bad aches and pains from it. I still carry a bone spur on my achilles tenden area. Every time the weather changes it hurts the worst. You could have some nerve damage like me. I crushed the nerves in my shin when I fell.

Someone suggested that could be the problem, but I'm waiting til I have health insurance to get a full check up of the problem. :/

Definatly get it looked at though. I have issues now that I didn't have when it happened. I went to the hospital a month after it happened so I did permenant damage. Does yours go numb at all? does it tingle? If so it's probably nerve damage. I can tell you they won't do anything but tell you to take an anti inflamatory. They gave me meloxicam and it didn't do a thing. It was nice to know what was wrong though. They suggested I wear one of those sock like ankle supports when I walk. You can get them at walmart pretty cheap. They also told me to never use one that keeps your ankle stiff because braces like that can cause worse pain. You have to be able to flex your foot.

I have the same problem with my ankle that I fractured in the 7th grade, ( It was the type that rarely happened, cracked right up my leg bone.) Maybe try laying the tank in a tub or something so that you aren't on your leg for too long?
