oops.

So I got a little overzealous with some live brine shrimp & accidentally fed Bettasaurus too.many. he's really bloated by his gills now. /: what should I do?

Just fast him tomorrow and try getting him to flare at a mirror. Usually flaring will get things moving. If that doesn't work try Epsom Salt. 1 tsp per gallon, premixed with conditioner. Epsom Salts are natural laxatives to help them use the bathroom.

I think just fasting him should work fine, though :)

Thanks! I'll fast him until he doesn't look like such a fatty. On the positive side, the shrimp kept him distracted from shredding his fins!
Drwholuver: thanks! I call him Bettasaur for short & Bettasaurus Rex when he's in trouble. ;) my other male's name is Bergamot. The Betta Who Shall Not Be Named because he's all red & black transparenty & looks like a death eater. ;)
