I had this exact problem when I got my new Betta about 3 weeks ago. Be paitent and he will eat when hes ready. Mine took till day 5 before he ate. Now he asks for food everyday when I first see him.

just got back from pet store with some blood worms,i put them in and they started sinking,he chased after them slowly and sucked 1 in and swallowed it,he did not try to eat any of the others and they are now lying on the bottom of the tank..

i guess ill stop feeding him for a couple days then try again

try a few times a day and just remove any uneaten food. The first meal my betta ate was just 1 piece then the next day he ate 5 pellets

I have the same pellets and my betta seems to really like them. He actually likes those more than bloodworms! I'd just wait for awhile. I'm sure he will start eating soon. Also, make sure your dropping them right in front of him. Good luck!

Once he gets used to blood worms, might not want to eat pellets.

Maybe you could call where you got him and see what they feed the Bettas. You really dont wont him to only the blookworms they are more like for treats so keep trying with the pellets. Good luck !

New Life Spectrum for the win no doubt.

Edit: Atison pellets are good too. So is Omega 1 I've heard. I personally use NLS so that is what I can recommend.
