Taking a snail out of QT

My snail, he doesn't have a name really just Mr. Snail, has been in QT for about a week and a half. On Saturday Oct. 20th he was purchased and been in a 1 gallon tank ever since. Normally I'd keep him in the 1 gallon for the full 2 weeks but with Sandy here I'd rather keep that 1 gallon open incase something happens. He/She/It hasn't shown any signs of illness, is eating and pooping and motors right along the tank.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks
Lizzy

I would guess that it would be ok, to put him in the tank. I really don't know much about quarantine though.

A tree fell down at my beach house in Ocean City so I have to go down and help clean it up. I'd really like to get Mr. Snail out of the 1 gallon because I won't be able to clean it until late Sunday night or Monday.

just plop him in ( or acclimatize)
really I think quaratining a snail is useless because even if it does carry something bad, what affects inverts may not affect fish... so you will never know.

I did think about that. I do have a Petco and Petsmart within a 20 minute drive if anything does come up. I'll float him in a cup tomorrow when I get home from school. Dumbledore has never even seen a snail for as long as I've had him so it'll be interesting to see how it goes. Mr. Snail is big enough not to get eaten, but his antennas might take a chomp.
