HTBR Hollow Betta Rescue #1

So here is the first rescue for my betta rescue Happy Tails. He was taken from craigslist and has some fin rot and clamped fins but otherwise looks good. Since today is Halloween I named him Hollow after Sleepy Hollow because he isn't very active just yet. He's a red and black veiltail with slight blue wash. His color is a bit faded and he was in fairly filthy water. Right now I'm treating for fin rot but should keep you all updated on him through the weeks.

Fully settled in his tank. He has livened up a bit, I'll be taking pictures tomorrow for him again to show his color improvement. Already getting brighter.

So glad to hear you rescued this little guy. He looks like he'll be quite a sight when he feels better. <3 Keep it up!

He's still feeling icky right now but warm clean water should help and tomorrow good food.

Some color has returned but he is still feeling down. He has ammonia burns and a possible bacterial infection. Also i am wondering if he's a king. He is easily twice the size of Aquarius. Sorry I didn't get more pictures today was just so busy trying to clean his tank and make sure eh was feeling better and trying to get him to eat. Poor Hollow, I really want him to recover from all this and find a good home.

I had no idea he was going to be blue, I thought he would be all red xD

The red tea I am using in place of IAL seems to be doing good for now. Clean warm water and AQ salt is fighting back the ick and I bought bacterial medication from petco since I was concerned about dropsy though was told it was ammonia burns. Still added a little just to be safe.

Can't wait for more color but more so for those fins to grow back.

Thank you, he's a remarkable little guy and I know he will make someone a proud mommy or daddy someday.
