I feel blessed to only have lost power for 3 days... I live mid island so the water didn't affect us. Much of the long island shore is unrecognizable now. It is really heartbreaking. On top of that we're fighting each other for fuel out here.

I've heard there's not enough gas to go around. I feel so bad for everyone, especially on Staten Island. I lost power for a few days but we had no real damage.

glad to hear that you made out ok. NYC/LI, NJ is really in a sad state. Been following all along on fox news. the gas shortage makes it even harder to get help out to us.

Sorry about your situation. Glad you're not that badly affected. I know how hard it could be - my area gets severe floods that could last for 2 weeks, in every 5 years. The pattern seems to have stopped. I hope it stays that way. But the potential danger always haunts us. . . . .
