vt and ct is a poor cross, all you will get is vt with ratty looking tails no one will really want. It will look like their tails are always shredded. Get a ct female.

True,ct is a bad gene to mess with.They can ruin your whole line.
I think you should get a female ct,they will produce much better fry.
Vts can also mess your line,they will stick to your frys for generations.

I would not breed them because they are undesirable, However some people are talking of getting a good line going but you will have to study genetics more and chose how your perfect vt would look like ind bettas that suit your plan and then it will take generations and lots of fre bettas before someone would buy off you.

Oh the only reason I don't have fish directly from breeders r because there are none in my area.
