Is She Really a He?

Hey everyone!I just started my planted soroity and have a female I'm concerned is a he.She is big with a big beard but she has a really clear egg spot.I have had her for a while so I think she's full grown, anyway here are some pics. Please help! P.s this is the first pic I have posted so I don't know if it worked.

Just my 2 cents here but I think she is definitely a HE!! I've heard of males with ovipositors before. But I'm sure other people in the forum will give you a more experienced opinion =]

Yep, your instincts were correct. That is a BOY. Most definitely. Females don't get fins (especially anal and caudal) that are that flowey and large.

Looks like you're gonna need another tank!

Oh okay would he be a pla-kat then?I think the fins areto short to be veil.Good thing I have an extra tank lying around.:0

Its a male spade tail. I really like the shape of his tail, its quite different. It's too long to be a plakat I think.

I think his body shape is too long to be plakat, his fins are a little short but he could just be young or it could just be a genetic thing... I think he's a VT or spade. He's pretty sneaky though... some guys will just do anything to be swimming with a bunch of girls
