I've been lurking on this lovely forum for some time, I've enjoyed keeping an aquarium for quite some time but am relatively new to bettas. This list helped me learn about and maintain my first betta, "Ra", who recently got too cold/sick and died. I tried several different things to try to help him out, but nothing worked.
I am recently smitten with a new betta, Poseidon, who is just getting to know me well and is past the "I don't know you, I won't eat" stage and seems to be settling nicely into his new tank.
Aside from my fish life, I live on a homestead farm with efforts to be self-sustainable as much as reasonably possible and have a variety of other creature friends. I enjoy ATA Taekwondo, belly dance, sewing with Singer treadle machines, baking bread, making cheese, yogurt, sour cream, butter, butter oil... -Umph, well, that's a start to me!
I'd also like to thank you ever so much for having such a great resource dedicated to our fabulous bettas - I have already learned so much.
