Betta Turns White

I notice at night that my better turns white, not his tails or fins. Just his body. But the next morning his color has returned. Is it just me?? Or is something wrong?

Thanks!

What color is he initially? I find some of mine when they were stressed would go awfully pale (my dark bettas), or would lose color during the night with no lights on.

He is blue and purple, some red. I live in Canada and the sun sets at like 5:00pm now and I am not home all day because of university. I left my book lamp on for him this morning. But in the morning he is vibrant in color so.. I didn't have any clue why it was happening. The darkness does make sense though.

I live in Alberta, Canada :p I know all about that early night x.X Have you tried a light night, or a "moonlight" simulation with a small LED light? See if that works :)

Yeah, I am also in Alberta! Small world. I used my booklight which is an LED and just clamped it above his tank. I knew he wasn't sick because by morning he was fine, just happens at night.

I have heard of Camrose! I am in Calgary, so... big city haha. Yeah.. I agree with you, in the morning he is spunky and swims all over. Just gets grumpy/bad mood when its bed time haha.

I have heard of some bettas doing that at night. I'm not sure why though. Mine doesn't do this.
