Shes acclimating now as we speak.

I'll take pictures of her later, she's acclimating. She seems to be a light blue girl. She's for my sorority. Her QT is a mason jar used for breeding. I saw her yesterday and I couldn't refuse to see her today. My mom would be embarrassed if I tried to make it a rescue so I didn't ask the employees. She has stress stripes and clamped fins, I couldn't refuse. Her gills are a little red and... Hopefully she'll make it. I tried to feed her a NLS pellet.. She's going great so far.

lol. I say... if you rescue her, you rescued her :) even if she's not a rescue in a politically correct way :P

Yep, I need to get pics of her soon in her jar. I'm getting a bowl heater tonight so her stripes should be gone by tomorrow. Her ventrals are pretty long, I think she's a baby male. :c

Yea a couple weeks ago the female I though I picked up was actually a male. He had a pretty long anal which aroused my suspicions but it wasn't until I got him in a breeders box when I noticed how aggressive he seemed and a long beard he had.. I felt sorry I had to return him but since his cup was REAL dirty when I got him I gave nice clean water and some extra stress coat :)

I don't want her to be a male, she's supposed to be for my sorority. I don't want to return this Betta either, I've grown attached to it after a day. You reminded me! I'm supposed to add some stress coat, thanks! haha

This pictures DON'T do her justice!! Pretty active now, still gasping really quickly though. :( Her gills are a bit red, probably proper air circulation.












What a cute little Betta!! :3 Any thoughts on tail type and gender? I'm thinking on VT but she might be a PK... And "her" ventrals are pretty long, I don't know..
