My new Boy, Jiro :)

Sadly Taro did the leap of death out of his tank while I was away and I was not able to save him :( My boyfriend kindly offered to buy me a new betta to cheer me up. We went to my LFS and I had a look at the few sad looking betta fish they had.

Then I saw this tiny, scrawny little guy... :) He was in a tank with some guppies and looked pretty battered. He is doing some scratching too, treated the water with salt and already had IAL in there so fingers crossed that he picks up! I have also closed up the gap in the back of the lid. Such a tiny gap it was >.> Pictures now:

Thanks guys! He is looking a ton better this morning with salt and he is being a good boy and eating his pellets! I even found a tiny bubble chain on one side of the tank :') Hopefully his ragged fins heal and he will be even more beautiful.

Here's a picture from the night I got him (2 days ago) You can see the raggedness. Not sure if its fin rot or just damage, never had fin rot problems in any of my fish so I'm not sure what to look for hah >.<
