Silverfang: Do you recommend I keep him at 3 teaspoon/gallon for 7 more days?

I'm not sure how much salt they can handle but I have gone up to 3 teaspoons per gallon with columnaris. I didn't have any meds and the fish still died. If you see any saddle back leasions or ulcers, disentigrating fins or more fuzzies - he is still infected.

If you send me a message, I can send you a link to another betta forum that has a good article about columnaris and fungus. I cant post it on here - its against the rules to link to other forums or something

I did 4 teaspoon/gallon on Wednesday November 7th. Today, the 8th, I reduced the salt to 3 teaspoons. So today, Thursday is day 2.

Then I would keep him in 3 tsp/gal of aq salt for 5 days, then 2 tsp/gal for one day, then 1 tsp/gal for a day, then get him back onto clean water.

This is just my preference to wean them off gradually.

I'll follow your suggestion. Will try to do daily updates/photos to track his progress. Thank you!

I've only had one girl survive the dreaded C. It took salt and kanaplex. Here's hoping it's fungus instead.

Updating my little guy. Day 3 continuing 3 tsp/gal. He's eating normally and has appetite. He has a red spot in his side but no fuzz hanging on it.
