new deco at petco

I saw these today at petco, finally some new stuff on the shelves. The first one is called "Poseidon's Gate" on the tag. They also had more colorful round versions of the second and third links but didn't see them on the website.

Wow - the 2nd and 3rd ones scare me with all those holes. It's hard to tell the size of the holes from the pic, but bettas are really curious little creatures and have been known to get stuck in small openings like that (if, in fact, those holes are as small as they appear in the pic). When I get decor with questionable sized holes in them I plug them up with silicone to keep my fish out of them.

I thought they were cool. I prefer natural stuff myself but I know many like this kind of decor and these are a little different.

Just gotta say that Stumpy, the Betta in your avatar apparently didn't get the memo that describes bettas as having a torpedo shaped body! What a cutie, he sorta looks like a perch.

The gate is really cute....I might consider it if I didn't have enough decorations!

The edges look a little sharp so the nylon test should be done.
