Just realised my female betta..

I just realised that my female Betta has no pelvic fins! wow. Is this mutation passed on through generations? Because I was planning on breeding her (she has amazing fin work) but yeah..

Depends on what caused it. If genetic, then yes it may be passed on. But if due to bacteria when young, then it shouldn't be a problem.

First of all - I am far from an expert, but have read up alot on this -- That being said -- Please correct me if I am wrong!

BUT - I think as long as the male has pelvic fins, then you have a good likely hood of atleast half the spawn having them if this is a deformity. I honestly think it would be higher than half of them having them, but depends on the genetics behind the female. I say try the spawn and see what happens.
