Hello :] I'm brand new to having a betta. I wanted a pet but my landlord was allergic to fur and I thought getting a fish would be a good solution. This guy here is Duke, I have him living with a snail and he's been here a little over a month.



I want to provide the best I can for him. Yesterday morning however I noticed a patch of what looks like damaged scales, should I be worried? Is there something I can do?

Sorry, I'm not seeing the pics. but welcome to the forum & Bettas. What size tank is he in? Heated? Filtered? Do you have plastic plants? Do any of the deocorations have rough edges? If you have plastice plants, I would replace them with either real or silk, plastic can cause damage to a fish. I would check your decorations for rough spots that he could've rubbed against causing damage.
