How to care for Baby Bettas.

I just got a Baby Betta a few days ago. I have it in a creater Keeper with a heater and a small plant for decoration and hiding. I'm feeding it crushed betta flakes and Driedfreezed blood worms. Is this all good or not is the first time I have ever tried to take care of such a young fish.

Flightless Fruit Flies will help with growth. The main difference is they need more protienns.

It sounds good to me. Are you talking about flakes or pellets though? I would suggest pellets if you arent using them already. and make sure you do plenty of water changes so growth isnt stunted!

brine shrimp are great for baby bettas :D also provides some entertainment for you and your betta because you will see them chase them and nomnomononom

Micro pellets are best for babies. What size container is it in? You need to do lots of water changes - besides needing clean water in general, babies also produce a growth inhibiting hormone which can only be removed via water changes.

I am pretty sure either in very small amounts or not at all.

I'm just feeding mine plenty of Hikari Betta Bio-Gold tablets (the regular ones, not the baby ones, and I'm not crushing them because they're already tiny enough for baby to swallow whole) and keeping the water warm and clean and s/he is thriving - gaining good color, growing very rapidly, swims around vigorously, gives every evidence of being a healthy growing betta.

I'm not going to change anything because I don't want to mess with success.

I also have several adults. I find the baby to be easier to care for than the adults, because while the adults have all finally settled on eating the hikari tablets without fuss, baby has always been willing to eat anything.
