Heaters

Hey, I'm getting a new heater for my Betta because I want a better one...

Does anyone know of a good heater that works well?

I have given up on presets and prefer the control sets. I have tried the Marineland 7 watt and don't care for the fact that the temperature is based on air temp. Then I tried 2 25W for my 2.5 and 3 gallon tanks: the martineland Visi Therm and the Hydor Theo submersible. Both have kept the temp at a steady set. Big Al's had a good price on this one. The Marineland is larger, but has a visual termometer on the heater. I found best prices on amazon.

I use a Hydor Theo 25W. Best heater ever, I couldn't be happier with it.

Which would be better Eheim Jager or the Hydro Theo?

I'm not sure if one is better than the oter, but I've been using Hydor Theo heaters for over a year without problems. :)

However, I would stay away from the preset tetra brand heaters. I love tetra's whisper filter line but their heaters have either under preformed and left my tanks too cold or gone beserk and cooked my fish in the past. DX
