To Heatpack or to not Heatpack..

So, I'm shipping my bettas back home with me in a few weeks. Right now I'm in Oregon, and I'm going home to southern California.

The weather in California lately has been in the mid to high 70's, with lows in the high 40's/low 50's.

Right now, Oregon is cold as _____. We had dime sized hail today (You don't know pain until you've been chopping wood for four hours in freezing rain I can't move)

So, when shipping, should I include a heatpack, or no? The box is going to be insulated either way, lined with newspaper, the bags double-bagged and covered so they can't see each other. So, just kinda stumped on the heatpack issue.

Thanks~
