Finally Got an Account!

Hello from Southeast Florida!

My name is Justine and I'm a Betta lover!

I've been a lurker here for awhile but finally decided to join. Hello!

I currently have four males, with a fifth on the way. I won't talk about that one until he's in my home because I'm superstitious that way. I don't have pictures at the moment but I hope to soon, especially since I'd like to know for sure what some are.

Oil = a coppery colored DTHM
Big Guy = a wild colored type King
Fun = a marbled pastel colored Dumbo something
Bud = a marbled blue DT something! When the light hits the blue on his tail it flashes green. I was told he was a DTPK, but I'd like to know for sure.

My favorite types are DT and HM. Or both together! One day I'd like to try breeding for color and show, but since I share a place with others I'll have to wait till I get my own and have the room to dedicate to these guys.

Hope to get to meet others here!

Hello, I've got a little baby delta tail named Sushi. When do you think you can get pictures of you're four bettas?

Oh yeah that's confusing so when you post, under wear you type theres a button that says manage attachments press that than under wear the link to your picture is press the button the says browse to get pictures from your computer than press something like upload and it should attach a picture. The first time I logged on I couldn't find the button to post a new thread

That was helpful, registereduser! Thank you! Hopefully I'm smart enough to figure it out.

Here are a few crappy photos I took. Since they're not fond of my camera and either tried to attack it or hide, I moved each one to a smaller bowl so I could try to get some shots in. I apologize in advance for the lighting. I had issues with my lamp working without annoying them.

First up is Oil. I was told he's a DTHM. I'm not sure what his color is, but I think he looks nice and coppery with red on his fins. Sometimes blue shows if the light hits it right. If you can identify his color for me, it would be lovely!

This is Big Guy. He's a wild type King. He's a good inch longer than my others, and his head is about twice as large. My big boy.

Next is Fun, my Dumbo. I'm assuming he's a blue marbled VT from his color and tail.

Last is Bud. He's a Marbled DT. Not sure of his color either. When the light hits it right it looks green. Other times it looks blue/black. What is his type though? He was sold as a DTPK. He was actually the hardest to get a picture of. When the camera came near he ignored the mirror and refused to flare, instead he just kept moving around and eyeing the camera.

Those are my boys!

The first one is gorgeous! I'd call him a copper red, but there might be something more specific.
And the last one I believe is just a regular DBT.
As for the one your assuming is a VT I think might actually be a DeT

The first one, Oil, is my favorite. I've never seen one in his color for sale so as soon as I saw him I actually gasped. That's how he got his name, in fact. Because the coppery color reminds me of oil on water!
