Lumps under scales

What is this? Looks like lumps with something black under it. The fish is swimming and eats well.

Might be related but unsure. A month ago he was sluggish and losing fins. I noticed his scales were whiter where the lumps are. I treated with 2 tsp salt per gal. His fin loss stopped and he became lively and eats normal again. But the place where the white spots are, became lumps. And I see black under it. I believe the fin loss and lethargy were something else that the salt cured. I think these lumps are something unrelated but unsure.

How do I treat this? What are the lumps?

Hmm, that almost looks like scar tissue to me. Did he lose any scales? If not, my next guess would be parasites. Do the bumps look at all like this? http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=120127

i dont think he lost scales. i treated him with salt earlier for the fin thing. im thinking if that didnt kill the parasite then i would have to try coppersafe. or some copper type medicine. he swims around and eats like hes perfectly healthy but the lumps are slowly getting bigger and blacker i think. if no one else responds with a better idea tmr i will try the coppersafe.
