Nerite Snail?

So to take care of an algae issue which continues to comeback no matter how well I clean the tank, I am looking to get a nerite snail. As this would likely be the best option to my knowledge, but I can't say my knowledge is that vast in snails. So I'll list the current parameters of my tank and if you guys could give any advice into the care of a nerite snail to whether you think it is a good idea or not that would be great :)

Parameters:
3 gallon half moon tank
filtered
1 betta
1 live plant
50% water change once a week
Full clean of tank once a month

Sounds fine to me except you might want to siphon out snail poop once a week and buy some algae wafers for when he runs out of stuff to eat.

A nerite should work in there. You should bump up your water changes to 1 50% and 1 100% a week.
