Great advice from spooky. One other thing I'd like to point out, the need for a water conditioner. Tap water generally has chlorine, chloramine, can have nitrites, nitrates & ammonia so a good water conditioner such as Prime are needed to make the water safe for your fish.

i dont use tap water i use well water cas it does not have any chlorine in it its fresh water direct from the well


and one more thing i need to get advice on WILL INDIAN ALMOND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A TANK OR IS IT USED JUST FOR BREEDING WILL IT MAKE THE WATER MORE PLEASANT FOR THE FISH

If you can I'd test it, I have read others with well water having toxins in it, at least toxins to fish. Just a thought.
