Does anyone here have friends who are scared of fish?

Apparently I have one and she started freaking out about coming to my house since she saw pics of my boys in FB.

Well, it's not a big deal since we've agreed that I'd cover the tanks with blankets as long as she's around but I'm pretty curious how everyone else deals with people like this.

I met a girl that freaked out because of the fish - too many eyes watching her.... I didn't continue to see her.

I'm aware there's a phobia for pretty much everything - even long words. I wonder though how people manage around friends/family like those.

I could do a few cover ups on 2.5gal tanks although it's harder to imagine for large centerpieces. I keep telling my friend the betta colors are so pretty she won't notice they're fish but she's just plain scared of them whether they're looking at her or not.

Basically she's okay with restaurants set up with fish in tanks for cooking but not them being kept as pets... which was weirder to me.

It certainly sounds strange but at the end of the day we all have something (most likely silly) that freaks us out.

I knew someone who had a phobia of driving over cobblestone streets and another who couldn't drive over bridges.

While I've never met somebody who had a phobia of the type of ornamental fish more typically keep as pets I knew someone who was freaked out by the type of fish people would be more likely to eat than keep as pets- tuna, cod, salmon, sardines, etc., that person said that the faces were too creepy.
