Does this Beta have Ick or Velvet?

I noticed today that Edward had what looked like a small white area around his gills. He doesn't have anything else on his body that I see. While reading about the infection I also saw velvet. I shined a flashlight at Edward and thought I might have seen some shiny patches.

I'm not really sure what I should be looking for. Here are some pictures. He really didn't like the light so it may be hard to see.

Its Probably Velvet. Because It's behavior Did not change. Hope I helped!

The Treatment Could be cleaning your tank! Try to clean it on a daily bases... Or get a 10 gallon tank like me and buy a filter. So that you only have to change the cartridge.. Or you can buy Medicine from Petco / Petsmart your choice.
