Hello~ I wanted to show off my little Phycondrias, otherwise known as Phy. he used to have a long tail, but he's a biter and right now he's sporting a near twin-tailed look. Only jagged. And clearly angry. But he's getting better. it's not as often.
Anyways, all last week he was getting stressed, paling in the face and belly and had stress striped when I attempted a fish-in cycle for my new 10g tank. So I decided to move him back to the 2.5g and continue on with a fishless cycle, and let him calm down.
His color's come back, and for that I am so~ grateful! These are some pics of him tonight, swimming in his mini-jungle after calming down much faster after a water change. Now if only he'd stop biting his fins~~~
Sorry if some of the photos look very~ similar, he's really good at waiting until I have my iphone focused then swimming away -_-;
I do have a question despite all my showing off of him -- He used to be a vibrant cobalt/royal blue, his whole body and tail. Since then he's developed some red in his tail, and now he definitely has this duskier, almost black along his length. Anyone know exactly why bettas change color over time? Are certain colors good or bad?
