I think the 3 one might be starting to recover I out it in Carters nutrient rich tank.

I ave not seen it in a while it is a jungle. I know my water onion is making a comeback I have 3. 2 I grew from bulbs.

How long did it take to grow from a bulb to a decent height?

2 or 3 weeks for 1 foot.

They can grow 5 feet and are endangered in there natural habitat. The bulbs at the store in those containers are already growing.
