Well, I'm Taylor, 17, from a boring small Nebraska town.
I joined a few days ago, as Christmas is coming up and also the one year anniversary of when I got my betta, DaBaDee (He's blue, dabadee, dabadie). So I decided to get him a present, an upgrade from his one gallon tank to a new, 5 gallon filtered tank, and I posted asking about how to make the switch to his new tank. He's never had a filter or a heater, so I'm getting him a heater soon as well (I obviously didn't know much about keeping bettas - better late than never, right?)
I also had a betta when I was in elementary school for over a year, but he was killed by my cat when I was at camp for a week and my parents were supposed to be taking care of him :( His name was Flipper. Him and DaBaDee are the only two betta fish I've ever had, and also the only two fish I've ever had any luck keeping alive.
I'm also asking for another 5 gallon filtered tank for Christmas as I'd like to get another betta :)
Here he is, and his new tank set up. It's still at room temperature at the moment, but he LOVES it. He's been flaring more, doing a lot of exploring, and making bubble nests (which he's never done before).
I'm very happy with how well he's adjusted to his new tank. :)
