just wanted to show off my handsome fella! he is supposedly crowntail and i got him from petco about a month ago... wish to find him a female to breed with! bad pics.. better ones soon

Indeed, taking pictures is difficult and takes a lot of time. You did well though. Really interested in seeing how your frys will turn out if you decide to breed them. Be sure to do a spawn-log. :)

ps. No you don't. Any color is fine. It will give you more surprises and something out of the ordinary. :)

He is very lovely! Not sure about the CT part.....looks a little more like a Halfmoon or a Delta/SD. ;)

As for breeding....be sure to do your research! Its definitely HARD, expensive work, but quite rewarding! Have you checked out our Breeding Stickies yet?

oh yeah im wrong, your right.. ill have to fix that and yes im reading alot on them.. i dont have a filter on there and it gets dirty quick.. i had an air pump but then he doesnt make the nest so i unplug it now and then and he does... but everytime he gets a good one built i need to change his water lol

Oh, pet stores often mislabel their fish....I doubt most of them know a PK male from a VT female! xD Its not your fault he was sold to you as a CT!

Haha, there is a lot to learn about breeding and a LOT to prepare for! Its definitely not an easy process by any means, let me tell ya, I learned that a few years back! But watching those hundreds of adorable little fry grow up is very rewarding. xD
Ahh, I bet once hes all set up in the spawning tank with the right conditions he'll start nesting nicely for ya, especially if hes a good nester already. ;)

he wasnt mislabeled i just typed in the wrong thing.. but i doubt they do.. pisses me off he was in a cup as big as he was, it makes me wonder how long he had been there
