Fin Rot Question

Tim Gunn is almost recovered from a bad case of fin rot. His fins actually melted all together! Overnight!

Anyway, he still has some black on the tips of his fins. Should I wait until that is all gone before moving him back into his tank?

Personally, I would wait. Until all signs of the rot are gone, and maybe until you seem some white re-growth. One person on here related it to me like having open sores then rolling in dirt...so you want the illness to go away, and for him to heal over the 'sores' before giving him the green light, I think.

My Phy is a tail-biter and I think I'll constantly be watching for any signs of fin-rot, but I'll be using Stress Coat in his regular water changes, after he's done in his current AQ Salt bath for a few more days.
