Any Mustard gas breeders out there???

I have been searching high and low for a mustard gas male and keep hitting brick walls. I really really want one!!! I live in TX just outside of austin. If anyone knows where I can get one PLEASE let me know. I have one Im looking at on aquabid but they want $46 to ship a $25 fish and its IN THE STATES already. craziness!

Find out if they can special order that color for you from Petco or Petsmart. Good luck!

Agree with Registereduser. My male dragonscale was from Petsmart. I think we got him for $7 or $8?

I've seen a couple on display every once in a while when I go in. Maybe ask them if they could hold one for you if one comes in a shipment?

Petsmart told me they can't special order....

But, I think that Polukoff is in the Austin TX area. And he probably has mustard gas males. (Or can probably get one for you.)

If he's near you, you might be able to just drive there and pick up the fish, rather than have it shipped to you. Less expensive for you, and less stressful for the fish!

You could try PMing him, or posting on his profile page.

I know there are other breeders in TX, but I don't know where they're located.

yeah I called and asked around yesterday and was told they cant special order :(
and I contacted Polukoff already, he doesnt breed MG's b/c they arent show worthy (dont ask me why, I think they are crazy pretty!)
Im having the hardest time finding a breeder. I emailed someone on aquabid that breeds them and has reasonable shipping fees (and is in LA so close to TX) and hopefully I can get on some sort of list with them. appears to have females right now (which are actually nice looking, but I really want a male)
hopefully I hear something soon, if not I'll just have to hit up petsmart and hope they have something jaw-dropping there

There is a breeder in Caddo Mills that does MG. Her dad is a member on our local DFW forum (can't link it here, I don't think).

Don't know if they'd ship or not, it's more of a hobby.

Congrats Sareena! I'm going to be looking for a MG girl myself before long. Preferably a HM or HMPK. Can't wait to see pics of your guy. I think they are great too & a going to try to start myself a line of them after I get the MG girl.
