Exclamation Sick new bettas?

Sorry for posting 2 threads. I tried getting pictures on this one, lets see if it worked. I just bought 3 new bettas today and I have them in a ten gallon tank with a filter and heater.

The red veil tail is having a hard time swimming down. He just floats back up to the top.

The clear delta tail has ripped up fins and is having a hard time swimming to the top for air. He rests on the plant to get to the top sometimes.

Any help on these issues??(:

I guess the pictures of the bettas themselves didn't show up. Any way to add them now? I'm using an iPod. Sorry I'm new to this thread thing

If they're having trouble swimming down, it's likely sbd - swim bladder disease. My advice would be to put them in separate hospital tanks and treat with epsom salt for a day or two and fast them for one.

Under the diseases and cures sticky in the emergencies forum it says dont feed them peas in caps, so I dont think so. Possibly frozen daphnia if you have some, but your best shot is epsom salt for a day or two and a day of fasting.

Np, I hope they get better soon. Shouldn't take more than a day or two.

Also, for the torn fins on the one, it can be tail-biting because of stress, or if you have sharp plastic plants or decorations or cuz of the filter intake. Might wanna just check those and keep an eye on him. My veiltail's a biter.
