What is the best fertilizer for an amazon sword? And liquid or tabs?

Sword plants like most of the rosette plants are root feeders and will need root tabs when planted in inert substrate.

Do the tabs work if I just leave it in the pot it came in? Just stick it in there? And how long do they last?

just make sure nothing leeches into the water column. ie if you have coarse gravel which will create gaps.......don't use root tabs, I would recommend you use something like flourish and dose the water column instead
you should take the plants out of those pots since the pots really stunt the plants growth.

I use Seachem root tabs for my crypts and used to use them when I had swords. To get the best growth and a strong root system you should take it out of the pot and plant it into the substrate.

I found when I pulled up plants that I had planted near the tabs, the roots would have actually attached themselves to the tab.

I believe Seachem tabs last a couple of months before needing to be replaced.
