Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? Towards the end of his tail there is a bulg
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? He is normaly really active. He is always trying to see whats going on around him and now he seems kinda to himself. When he stops swimming he kinda sinks
When did you start noticing the symptoms? Last night

So i guess ill just not feed him for a few days, and see how he does.

When you do go to feed after his fast soak one of the pellets in some of the tanks water (so it dosent expand inside his tummy) just start with one in the morning and one at night, If the lump hasnt gone after two days you will need to use the pea methood, i dont know how it works but its worth a shot :D

Its hard to tell much by the pic...It might be part of his normal anatomy-the bulge at the caudal peduncle area can be more noticeable on some Betta than others and even more on one side than the other too...Can you post a better pic showing the area in question-When you view him from above-does it look equal on both sides.

When you have bulging at the base/caudal peduncle area it is usually either normal anatomy or a tumor in most cases...

With constipation issues-usually the bulge is seen in the abdomen area located between the ventral fins and vent.....

Also, its best not to soak the food-due to leaching the nutrients and water soluble vitamins.
Pellets will swell up in water, however, the stomach contents of a Betta contains gastric acid and enzymes that break the food down for digestion.
