Hi all! Today I purchased my SECOND betta fish! I decided to name him Vardaman. Vardaman was the youngest child in William Faulkner's novel As I Lay Dying. I chose his name from this book because when I got him home he was laying on his side! He spooked me big time! But he's an active little fish that is loving avoiding my phone! I just want a picture for my boyfriend. I know his one fin is a little messed up. I'm hoping that it will heal now that he is not in a tiny overfilled cup. The cup was filled to the brim! Idiots. Here he is!
Wow! Im jealous!
One of my males likes to lay on his side once in a while too and scares the crap out of me as well...i hate when they do that!!
And remember that warm clean water is the best thing for him to heal :)
Oh wow, absolutely stunning!! What a fantastic find!!
Thanks! There were lots of great ones there this time, but this guy was the most active and responsive. There was a VERY pretty white with light blue tipped fins. Almost got him because he was so pretty, but he wasn't very responsive towards me.
Hey guys! I finally got some decent pictures of him.
I pulled his tank down from the shelf above my desk where Algernon is. I put his tank in front of Algernon's and they saw each other. Algernon just paced the front of his tank. He didn't flare at Vardaman at all. Vardaman, on the other hand, was flaring up a storm! Such different personalities. I love it!
