Wow thats a great tank for the price. I have the Marineland 5 gallon Hex tank with the bio wheel and really like it. Not sure about other fish you could put in with them.

Yes you can.. I would look into getting at least 2 more females (3 females together is also very dangerous.. 4 is the bare minimum that is recommended)..

So 2 more females, maybe 3 or so cory doras on the bottom, and possibly a couple guppies or platies, or 4 or 5 small schooling tetras would work.. just don't want a whole lot of fish in there, bio load would be too big for the tank.

Make sure there are plenty of plants - real or fake.. want it dense in there mid level to top of the tank to break up the lines of sight so the females can get away easier when being chased, etc.

Do I need to have it divided if I buy more Betta females still? I hope I don't because that will be a pain. If I can keep them undivided then I will be happier.

No. Just have it heavily planted like Myates said.

The fighting will look terrible at first, but then everything should relax in a few days or so.

If one of your females seems too aggressive after 2 days, you may have to transfer her to your 1.5.

I have lost a veiltail before. I lost my one female 48 hours after I got her and I took her back to the pet shop and got the blue green veiltail female in her place. I love the crown bettas but I will get 2 crowntails when i get the 10 gallon tank above.
