I would like some fresh IAL to put in my betta's tank to help with fin regrowth. He's a biter and I've finally got the fins to stop regressing but they don't seem to be regrowing back. I've tried stress coat and salt for 2 weeks now and the best I've gotten is that he's no longer biting.

Also I have soft water.. so does anyone have experience with IAL in soft water? I don't want to turn it acidic. I can always experiment in an extra tank if need be and see just how much it ends up dropping the ph. Right now the ph is around 7.4-7.6.

Nobody? I've tried to search on aquabid for some but the search function of that site doesn't work for me. It hangs into infinity.

I've tried some water conditioner with IAL extract, but that's it.

I know I can buy atisons beta spa and I've considered it but its extremely expensive and I'd rather have a little idea of what I'm putting in my water. I think tetra also makes some amazon extra stuff with it

You might want to PM one of the mods, like OFL, about this. She's mentioned the use of IAL in a lot of posts, so she may be able to answer your questions.

Another option is to post your questions in a different forum (maybe the general Betta Fish Care one?). I'm not sure how many people read the classifieds posts.

When you say "fresh IAL," are you talking about newly dried leaves, or leaves that haven't been dried at all? I've seen some recommendations here for a particular seller on ebay who has dried leaves at a good price.

Good luck! At least you got your guy to stop the tail biting. I haven't been as successful with mine.....

Stress coat at 1 ml per 1 gal finally got him to knock it off. You might try it.

I'm pretty sure he still has about 900 leaves left, unless he sold a bunch in the past 30 days.

Babystarz (page 3) and Whatsupyall (page 2) both recommended Amy Lim on eBay.

I looked at eBay, and she sells under the name "amy-lim." She has about 20 active listings for IAL right now, starting at about $2 and up.
