The little bubble pops out but the bowl actually goes all the way behind the design. The fish has swimming space all around, but you can only see it when it swims into the bubble. It's still small though. I saw it at the store. It's anywhere from half a gallon to a gallon. I don't really remember, but I know it was less than a gallon.

I have seen the grinch one in person. It's bigger then just the little bubble part - you just can't see it because of the way its designed. I think it's about a gallon so its not THAT bad. I have seen worse. You could at least heat this one with one of those small bowl heaters

I saw these today and it made me sick. No fish should live in that. Not even a tetra or glow fish or even a female betta!
