Ok... Let me try to not make it as confusing.
Let's start with chlorine, chloramines, hard metals, and conditioner. Mostly all conditioners treat the water for these dissolved compounds or whatever. Chloramine is the binder for ammonia. And if you take it away, the ammonia gets released into the treated water. Prime is the only proven conditioner that detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate for 24-48 hrs. So technically Prime is the only way to detoxify. It doesn't remove the ammonia, it just turns into ammonium and the filter can eat that up, too. BB can build up after just a week but this is just incredible.
