largelump under first two fins

I am worried about my betta that he is dying he has a large lump under his first two fins can yo please tell me what this may be.

It could be a number of things. Is it possible for you to post a clear picture so we can see the problem? Also, we'll need to know what size tank he's in, how long it has been set up, water params for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, & pH, what other fish are with him and how many (if any), temp, what you're feeding him, how often you're doing water changes, and anything else you can think to tell us about him, the tank, or the problem.

I'll watch for your post so as to help you as quickly as possible, but without the above info, there's not much anyone can tell you to help.

I have him in a one gallon tank. my boyfriend said when he changed his water the other day he smell ammonia, can I be killing my fish / Does he need to be in a larger tank. I feed him betta flakes one daily. He is still actively swimming. He still greets me when he hears my voice
