Always new fishies!!

I have 3 males, theoretically all VTs. I brought them home last night, from a pet store that was keeping them in cups which are (literally) 2 inches diameter and three inches high!!! And they were all half-starved!!!
One Red, probably in the best shape of the three, who is now chasing the dog through his glass.
Then there's a RoyalBlue with white-edged fins, who's got serious fin-curl.
And the last one was an icky pale pink last night, with a barely there blue edge to his fins. I put him in a "med-cup" and now he's looking like he thinks he'll make it, so I'll pick him up a house today and see how he fares. I'm still reserving my affection, but I do so love a survivor.

Yes. His body got darker, almost like a blue or grey coat over the pink, and there is twice as much blue on his fins and his pink finnage is darker.

Now that there are plants, he's decided there's no reason for me to point a camera at him, so I couldn't really get a good picture of him, but I did try to give an idea of how much more blue is in his fins now, and they're darker pink, too.
His body is definitely getting blue hue over the pink. Very pretty.

He has spiky fins, that kind of have me wondering if he's got fin-rot, or something, but they appear to be just naturally that way...

I recently acquired Kaiser, a blue/red/white grizzle veiltail who is quite handsome, very docile and very much of a pig. The next day I returned to get a red delta butterfly, but he had been sold, and I fell in love with Nero, a dark bodied seagreen fellow with red and white ventrals. He is also a veiltail and rather personable. He has yet to eat pellets, though he's already built a bubble nest.
