My marble Progression...

I have three marbles but only two are really changing enough to keep track of so I'm gonna post here. Misha and Blaine are my two HMPK's I got from the Betta Shop in MN. Misha was expected to marble, Blaine however was not.

Misha when I got him:

Misha a few weeks ago, right after Spring Break:

And then Blaine when I got him:

Blaine a few days ago:

I expected Misha to change, just not how he changed, I'd kinda thought he'd get more white instead of lose his white, and he's starting to lose his red in his fins.

I did not expect that Blaine was going to change when I got him. I'm not going to lie and say I'm happy about the change, but I've come to terms that he's not going to be 100% white. I just hope he doesn't go solid blue. I'm hoping that the majority of him stays white, if only his fins go blue and stops there that's fine, I just want white.

They are still both beautiful fish.

If Blaine goes complete blue in his fins, you will have that elusive blue dragon (is he a dragon? It is a little hard to see) on your hands. It was once believed blue dragons are genetically impossible, but it seems like you can get a pseudo blue dragon from marble.

I still adore both of them, I really miss Misha's white face, and I adored Blaine as an all white, but the blue is growing on me. (no pun intended) I'd just prefer if he stayed mostly white. I think the main reason it kind of annoys me is an all white betta has been my dream fish for a while now and the moment I think I managed it, bam "I'm a marble mom!". I love his spunky personality and how protective of his moss ball he is.

Update

Misha hasn't changed much if at all since I posted this.

Blaine on the other hand continues to change. He's gotten even more blue on his fins and it has started on his caudal.
