I thought they might be :p I was just wondering :p I'm jealous. I've never had a white or black Betta! It's fun to watch the colors change as well. My newest is undergoing a rather large transformation lol

Me neither. :)
When I got him she handed him to me outside in the dark, I figured he was the common "oil puddle betta" with the red/blue/teal mix but after shining a light on him turns out he is black with red fins and a tiny bit of blue on the base of his dorsal fin. :)

So just put Ferret in his new 2.5 gallon tank I got him, his previous owner had him in a lightless 1 gallon.
He seems very happy and is ok with the filter. Next time I go to the store I am getting him a small pot as a cave. :)

Took some pictures of Claudius, felt bad for just taking photos of Ferret. lol
I wish my camera would capture the color forming at the end of his fins, looks like he was dipped in ink. :)

Big bulldog face.

Me too, one of the reasons I picked him was his giant face. lol

Some updated photos of my two bettas.
Also changed Ferret's name to Tiberius. I have decided to go with a Roman theme. I got a new tank and so am looking for a another betta, who will be named Vespasian. :)
Here is some pictures of Claudius:

(Here is a blurry photo of Claudius' fins, but it shows his color changing)

Tiberius:
He is such an odd little betta, he likes to hold onto the sides of plants with is pectorals like a monkey. He is also my personal guard betta, part of his tank faces the front door and everytime someone comes in he swims over to that side of the tank and flares and flares. lol
Another one of his quirks is he actually waits for his pellets to drop to the gravel before he eats it, I have never had a betta like him. :)

And here is my empty tank I got ready for my future betta:

Not my style of decor but it came with the tank for only $5. lol
