How to clean tank with shrimp in it?

Hi, I just picked up some ghost shrimp, and put them in the tank. But now im wondering, how on earth do you cyphon the gravel and not hurt them?

I use a battery powered cyphon (love it) but it can be brutal.... I used to have a X on the bottom and that helped, but now i have the gravel extension on it.

I can barely see the shrimp, lol. I dont want to suck them through the propellers...

Thanks

Mine just dash away from it but I use a regular suction based siphon... so I'm not really sure, though I would suspect that they would stay as far away from it as they could

Just don't go directly over or on them lol. But usually, they zip away before you even get near them. lol
