Sparkels?

Hello everybody my Betta Vinny has ether tail rot or is a biter, so I went to town and got some aquarium salt. I did a full water change scrubbed all his tank decorations and toys down in hot water.
After getting everything set back up and putting him back in I get a good look at him and I see very small almost unnoticeable specks on him it kinda looks like very small glitter bits.
He is in a 3 gallon, unfiltered tank,with an air pump,and his tank temp hangs out at around 76-78 degrease.
Is this something I should worry about or just a trick of my eyes?

Sounds like he might have ich. Can you provide a photo? The salt should get rid of it though.

Or possibly velvet? Try shining a flashlight and see if you can see gold. Velvet is usually gold specks, and the fish may look like he's covered in dust, and ich is usually white spots and the fish may look like he's sprinkled in salt.
