I am so very sorry :( it isn't ever easy to say goodbye. I always like to think that at least they were given a good home and didn't have to pass in a tiny cold, dirty cup on a pet store shelf.
It sounds like you're a great owner and tried everything possible, and I'm sure he appreciates it. xx

That is awesome! Maybe you caught it early enough. I already consider him very lucky to still be here. Very good news!

I'm glad to hear it looks like the pine coning is going down :) What are you using to treat?

I've never heard of feeding bettas lettuce..

What does his poo look like?

They are carnivores...

I think sometimes pineconing can just be caused by bloating but it is very common in dropsy. It is amazing that he's doing better! Very happy for you :)

it looks normal the lettuces idea came from the pet store often feed to fry like zucchini and peas its high in fiber. Yes i suspected dropsy to I'm glade he's looking well. I'm one the hunt to get him a big tank and nice heater he likes being in my big tank with all the other fish but he wouldn't be safe there out of his little box. Also a lot or carnivorous animals eat vegetation, the plants our just as important to them. Dogs can live a loooonnnngggg healthy life on vegetarian diets.

the biggest thing to remember when giving fish veggies is to only give them a TINY bit otherwise its just too much fiber also i like to take it out as soon as there done with it.
