Bettaboy Needs a name

Hello everybody!
this is my first time to post and to share my first Betta I bought today
to celebrate my finals,

SoOoO to my nameless fish.. what to name him based on these features?
-He is a red/blue tinted crowntail?
- He was $5.44 worth
-He has red tails/fins all over and a light blue tint
-He has a fin that looks crinkly and wrinkly and curly (is this healthy?)
-a dark/black face






Do anyone would know the age of my fish?
and.. is he healthy enough?

I bought this boy at PetWorld in a small cup,

The curly fins. Aaaaargh!!!
So sad!
But, so far as I know, not life threatening. I have bettas with the same kind of deformity...
The general consensus seems to be that it is stunted growth from being in that tiny cup.
He's pretty, but get him into something bigger so that he can spread his fins!

Also, That looks like a VeilTail... If they charged you for a CrownTail (generally about 2 dollars more than a VT), you should probably go back (with the fish and receipt) and talk at them some. Almost politely. They need to refund you a little bit of monies, and take better care about labeling their bettas.

well, he's a beauty! can not help with names.. I dont even have my own named except for one i call big blue.

His blue scales are gorgeous! Voodoo or Echo or Vision come to mind for names.

They didn't have any labelings at the store and since it's expensive i'm pretty sure it's a veiltail too. It's confusing because his fins are pretty torned up. It doesn't matter crowntail/VT I just had to verify it. He was one of the few who were in the small cups....but he'll get healthy, He's in a bigger tank :)

Name him Sir Crinkle of the fin

I wouldnt worry about the crinkle part. Sometimes if the fin grows back it can grow back kinda odd...maybe he bit it at somepoint?

Lovely betta! I was told that fin curling has to with long exposure to hard water. Not harmful at all though. Sadly, I have hard water.
